On June 1, 2026, the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the FY2026 Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Through this local competition, organizations may apply for funding to provide housing and services that help people experiencing homelessness move into stable housing and improve long-term self-sufficiency.
The local competition for FY2026 CoC funding is now open. The deadline for project application submission is Monday, July 20, 5:00 p.m.
All application materials will be reviewed by the Clackamas County CoC Steering Committee, which is the governing body for the CoC.
In addition to renewal funding for existing CoC projects, this competition includes opportunities in the following estimated amounts:
- New CoC projects totaling at least $1,008,749
- Domestic Violence (DV) Bonus projects totaling approximately $530,143
- New or expansion of renewal youth-focused projects through expected reallocation of Youth Homeless Demonstration Project (YHDP) funds totaling approximately $750,160 available for youth-focused initiatives
This year, the CoC is accepting applications for:
- New Supportive Services Only (SSO), including Street Outreach projects
- New Transitional Housing projects
- Renewal projects, including Rapid Re-Housing (RRH), Joint Transitional Housing–Rapid Re-Housing (TH-RRH), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Transitional Housing (TH), and Supportive Services Only (SSO)
This includes opportunities for project expansion, consolidation, transition grants, reallocation, bonus funding, and YHDP replacement or reallocation projects, as applicable under the NOFO.
All agencies planning to or considering applying are encouraged to read the NOFO in full, and to regularly visit the HUD CoC Competition website.
