Looking for affordable ways to stay entertained, keep kids engaged and explore new interests this summer? Your local library has you covered.

Libraries across Clackamas County are inviting residents of all ages to participate in this year's Summer Reading Program. Whether you're reading on the beach, listening to audiobooks on a road trip or discovering a new favorite author at home, you can earn prizes while building a lifelong love of reading.

But summer reading is about more than books. Libraries throughout LINCC are offering a wide variety of free activities and events, including puppet shows, take-and-make crafts, game nights, outdoor concerts, teen events, family programs and more.

The Summer Reading Program is open to children, teens and adults. Participants can track reading, complete activities and attend library programs to earn prizes. Specific activities and prizes vary by library.

Libraries play an important role in helping children maintain reading skills during summer break, while also providing opportunities for lifelong learning, creativity and community connection for residents of all ages.
