Important Notice for Rural Commercial Customers

Your garbage and recycling service fees are increasing. 

Dear customer:

Every year, Clackamas County reviews collection costs for garbage and recycling services in unincorporated areas. The costs for garbage and recycling are impacted by many factors including rising labor and fuel costs and regional factors like disposal costs charged to garbage and recycling companies. Due to these rising costs, it was necessary to increase the fees this year. 

The fee increase, that was effective beginning July 1, 2026, is described below:

Monthly collection service fees for garbage containers in your area increased by $0.94 per cubic yard, per pick up.

For example, a 4 cubic yard garbage container picked up twice a week will increase by $32.56 per month. (Calculation: $0.94 x 4 cubic yards x 2 collections per week x 4.33 [52 weeks/12 months] weeks per month).
