Property Recording Alert Service and Digital Research Room now available

Oregon City, OR – Clackamas County Clerk Catherine McMullen is pleased to announce two new services available through the Recording Division of the Office of the County Clerk, providing property owners and real estate professionals with expanded access to property recording information.

“By providing online access to property records and providing timely recording alerts, we are making it easier for Clackamas County property owners to access information and stay informed about activity involving their records,” said Clerk McMullen

The Digital Research Room provides online access to recorded documents, and the Property Recording Alert Service (PRAS) allows users to receive email notifications when documents are recorded under a monitored name.

Digital Research Room

The Clackamas County Digital Research Room provides online access to recorded documents dating back to 1990. Users can search records by name, document number, recording date and other available fields.

Search results can be viewed online as unofficial copies or ordered as certified or uncertified copies. Users can also add selected documents to an online cart, select the type of copy they need, and complete their purchase online.

The Digital Research Room expands public access to property records and allows users to conduct research without visiting the Recording Division office.

Property Recording Alert Service (PRAS)

The Property Recording Alert Service (PRAS) is a free service offered by the Office of the County Clerk that provides email alerts when a document is recording containing monitored information, such as a person’s name.

PRAS is offered at no additional cost to taxpayers, with funding provided through a portion of statutory fees already collected by the Office of the County Clerk.

The service provides timely, automated email notifications when new documents are recorded under a monitored name. Each alert includes a direct link to information about the recorded document, making it easier for property owners to stay informed about recording activity associated with their name.

PRAS is an alert system and not a fraud prevention service. It does not prevent a document from being recorded.

Property owners and users of the Digital Research Room and PRAS who have questions or need assistance may contact the Recording Division of the Office of the County Clerk at 503-655-8551 or recording@clackamas.us.

The Recording Division is located at 1710 Red Soils Ct., Suite 110, Oregon City. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Document recording services end at 4:30 p.m.
