April 6, 2021 Virtual County Administrator Issues/Updates

The proposal is for legislative text amendments to the Clackamas County Comprehensive Plan and to the Zoning and Development Ordinance (ZDO) in order to expand opportunities for accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and to newly permit accessory historic dwellings in specific areas.

Home occupation for the purpose of hosting events, year round, on 53.12 acre property. The property currently contains a manufactured home, several accessory structures, and approximately 20 acres of vineyard. The development proposal includes the construction of two-story venue building with a main floor area of 11,532 square feet, a gravel parking area including 76 spaces, a garbage enclosure, and other associated improvements. The proposed event venue would take access from an existing driveway to S. New Era Road.

Clackamas County Building Codes has proposed fee modifications that could be effective July 1, 2025.

This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is entered into by the Clackamas County (“County”) and Clackamas County Employees Association (“Association”).

The County and the Association are parties to a Main Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for the period April 23, 2025 through June 30, 2027.

April 13, 2021 Virtual County Administrator Issues/Updates

This notice pertains to a remanded decision regarding a Conditional Use Permit for the establishment of a dog kennel that will accommodate up to sixteen (16) dogs.

The Oregon City School District seeks approval of a Conditional use permit application at Candy Lane Elementary School to permit a building addition and associated site improvements. The proposal includes the construction of a new cafeteria building of approximately 4,520 square feet as an addition to an existing gymnasium. Other proposed improvements include the reconfiguration and expansion of an existing parking lot, construction of a driveway to Portland Avenue, construction of a retaining wall along Portland Avenue, relocation and improvement of a playground, construction of trash enclosure, and the construction of storm water facilities.

The applicant is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for a proposed private community dock and park with associated improvements on a .87 acre undeveloped lot, with several environmental overlays, in R-10 Zoning District.
