King Road/66th Ave. Intersection Safety Analysis

The intersection of King Road and SE 66th Ave. is an intersection with high volumes of traffic crashes located in the Milwaukie area. Traffic engineers studied the intersection and determined needs such as adding flashing lights at the crosswalk on the east side of the intersection, upgrading curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards and upgrading lighting. This project will be included in the Walk Bike Clackamas Plan and in the Transportation System Plan.

Why

To provide a safer roadway for all users and reduce traffic crashes at the intersection.

Schedule

The county completed traffic safety analysis in Dec 2022. The analysis recommends constructing an enhanced crosswalk as funds become available.
