Committee for Community Involvement

The county’s Committee for Community Involvement (CCI) is seeking two (2) new members of the Clackamas community to serve with them as they work to promote more community engagement in land use planning and other planning related activities.

If you enjoy building community and working with your neighbors to have a voice in shaping where you live, CCI is for you. Members work together on projects and provide guidance and oversight of public involvement programs, activities, and processes related to land use and community planning.

Appointed by the Clackamas Board of County Commissioners (BCC), CCI is responsible for assisting and advising the BCC, Public and Government Affairs (PGA) and other county governing bodies with the implementation of a public involvement program that promotes and enhances community engagement in land use planning. CCI is responsible for evaluating this program and providing a report and recommendations to the BCC. Experience and participation in a community planning organization, hamlet or village is helpful, though not required.

CCI meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. Meetings are currently being held virtually via Zoom. Members serve 3-year terms.

Application deadline is Sept. 27, 2023. For more information, contact communityinvolvement@clackamas.us
