Canby Ferry Ramp Improvements

Protecting the Canby Ferry and providing uninterupted operations  

The northern Ferry ramp has shifted over time. This shift presents the potential for Ferry operations to be disrupted and has caused damage to the bottom of the Ferry boat. The northern ramp will be replaced, a portion of the road embankment will be repaired, and stability of the southern Ferry ramp will be evaluated.

To protect the Ferry, protect associated roadway infrastructure and assure continued, reliable Ferry operations.

Schedule

• Design: Spring 2027 to Spring 2028
• Construction: Summer 2028 to Winter 2028

Traffic impacts

Expect delays or closures to ferry operations during construction.

Current activities

Development of RFP and solicitation of design and permitting services.

Funding

• Project estimate $550,000.
• Funding is provided from federal Ferry Boat Discretionary Program funds and county road funds.
