Oatfield Road at Roethe Road Curb Ramp Improvements

Project description

Inspections of the curb ramps and pedestrian pushbuttons at all four corners of the SE Oatfield Road and SE Roethe Road intersection were recently completed to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The inspections found the existing curb ramps do not meet ADA standards for compliant slopes.

All four curb ramps at the intersection are expected to be replaced. In addition, the traffic signal pedestrian pushbuttons will be modified to meet ADA requirements.

Why

To improve safety for people with disabilities accessing the intersection, and to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
