Oak Lodge Library History Room

Preserving Local History

The Oak Lodge History Room (OLLHR) serves as a community repository for materials which document the experiences of residents who have called Oak Lodge and Oregon home. In order to preserve the collection, items in the OLLHR collection are not available for checkout. The collection is intended for reference inside the library. Some titles may also be available for checkout in our circulating collection. You may search the catalog or speak with library staff to inquire about a title’s availability. We welcome visitors, researchers and volunteers dedicated to collecting, preserving, and advocating for our community’s history.

Visit

Visitors can browse the OLLHR collection during the library’s open hours. The collection may not be available for browsing when the room is in use for a meeting or consultation. Refer to the room schedule posted outside the entrance or call 503-650-8543 to determine its availability.

Research

The Oak Lodge Library and Oak Lodge History Detectives (OLHD) invite you to research local and family history using the OLLHR collection. Researchers may schedule an appointment with an OLHD volunteer to discuss donations, conduct research or learn more about local history.
