Guest Speakers
John Wildhaber, Strategic Communications, Sheriff’s Office App Gave a full overview of the application, while they continue to take community feedback to ensure the website/app is not only ADA compliant, but timely and relevant for our communities.
Amy Landvoigt, Water Master (Wells), Oregon Water Resources Dept. Call Amy for all things water, and avoid sharing wells if at all possible to prevent potential future issues. She explained that all water belongs to the public, but the Oregon Water Resources Department manages it. They determine how much water exists and how much can be used. Water is divided into surface and groundwater by statute, and exemptions were listed and discussed at length. The information presented was relevant to our area and well received.

b. Z0521-25: Applicant Melissa Clark, Property Owner Tera Alicia Shanley, 15110 S Mitchell Lane, Oregon City, zoned FF-10, requesting a temporary home for care. Frank Barley made a motion to make no recommendation on the application. Matteo seconded. The motion carried.
c. Z0015-26: Applicant Michael & Paula Nelson, 16285 S Buckner Creek Rd, Mulino, zoned TBR, requesting a property line adjustment. Matteo made a motion to recommend approval. McMurry seconded. a. Z0419-25: Approved subject to conditions. Nichole Reding-Hoffart & Gregory Hoffart, 12224 S Casto Road, Oregon City, zoned Ag Forest District, 1.52 acres, requesting a property line adjustment.
b. Z0395-25: Approved subject to conditions. Applicant Don Stutz, Owner Kevin Stutz, 13397 S Carus Road, Oregon City, zoned EFU, requesting the renewal of a temporary home for care. ]
c. Z0312-25: No decision yet. Applicant Kalina Kovton, Owner Oleg Yamin, 16777 S Henrici Road, Oregon City, zoned RRFF5, 4.189 acres, requesting a variance. The Board discussed in December and advised denial to the Planning Department.
d. Z0469-25: No decision yet. Thad & Natalie Pedracini, lot #79 S Marilyns Avenue, Beavercreek, zoned RRFF5, 0.18 acres, requesting a reduction of the 30’ setback to 20’ (matching existing homes in the area). In December, the Board chose not to respond.
e. Z0472-25: No decision yet. Roth Residential Rentals LLC, 23290 S Beavercreek Road, Beavercreek, zoned Timber, 40.13 acres, requesting the replacement of a 1961 single family dwelling. In December, the Board chose not to respond.

- Bill mentioned he is campaigning for District 2 Director. A pedestrian study is in process as the next step to bring fiber to the people. Community member Frank asked about repeaters so the internet can be available during outages. Bill discussed upcoming plans and timelines.

- Discussed latest meeting findings and talked about the “Your Speed” signs that are in progress in our community.
- Website - Gina McMurry
- i. Asked how community members found out about the venue change. Responses showed mostly social media, some website, and some the signs on the Grange doors that redirected.
- ii. Working on Community Resources tabs, and asked for input via the Contact Us form.
- e. Hopkins Demonstration Forest - Gina McMurry
- i. New app launched from $37k grant from County Tourism and $7k self-funded through Forests Forever. The app expands access to forest education and supports a more inclusive experience for visitors to the 140 acre living classroom. Read more here: Article

- i. Discussed tree school date, March 21st. This is being promoted actively as registration opens February 3rd.
- ii. Annual report out, highlight for the community $394k in septic loans and increasing free tool rentals.
- g. Clackamas County Transportation System Plan PAC – Tammy Stevens
- i. Discussed the board's purpose and updates to come.
- Old Businessa. Park Activities 2025 - Mark & Cindy Hillyard
- Last year's events were quite successful as long as the environment/weather cooperated. Summer event planning in process, understanding there will be construction on the road during many of the events. Mark is getting ahead of this to ensure that both can coexist.
- Holiday Tree Lighting – December 6th where the community showed up en force for this event. Planned and executed perfectly.
- April 4th – Easter Hunt
- Planning in process. The amazon list of needs for egg stuffing will be published.

- Grange: Next breakfast February 7th from 8 AM - 11 AM.
- Oregon City Public Library: Claire Kellogg promoted the Elevated Reader’s Discussion. The March book is Chasing Hope by Nicolas Kristof. Thursday March 5th at 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM at the Oregon City Library. Registration is requested.
- Clackamas County Planning Commission: Tammy Stevens alerted that current focus is on cities versus rural, but Tammy will advise when things relevant come up.
