Voter Turnout Settles at 20.3% for the May 20, 2025 Special District Election

Oregon City, OR – On Wednesday afternoon, voter turnout settled at 20.3% for the May 20, 2025 Special District Election. As of the unofficial election results release on Wednesday, May 21 at 3:19 p.m., Clackamas County Elections had tallied 62,268 ballots.

“The majority of eligible voters decided not to participate in yesterday’s special district election. Our local elections are an opportunity for citizens to weigh in on how to allocate local resources and choose local leaders who will make important decisions for school, water and fire districts.” Clerk Catherine McMullen shared, “Thank you to elections staff that conduct each election, the candidates who stepped up to run, and the citizens who voted.”

Unofficial election results and the election results release schedule are posted online at www.clackamas.us/elections/may-20-2025-special-district-election . Final official results will be certified June 11.

The next countywide election will be May 19, 2026 and the next anticipated special election is scheduled for November 4, 2025. For more information and updates on voting and elections in Clackamas County, visit clackamas.us/elections.
