North Clackamas Park and Recreation District Board considers final IGAs with City of Milwaukie

OREGON CITY, Or. — The North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) Board of Directors has placed two intergovernmental agreements (IGA) between the District and the City of Milwaukie on the Board’s Business Meeting agenda, which is set for 10 a.m. Oct. 1. 

The North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District is a service district governed by the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners. For the last 18 months, the NCPRD Board and staff have been in discussions with the City of Milwaukie Council and staff to update the 2008 Cooperative IGA that governs the relationship between the two parties and finalize an IGA for funding and construction of Milwaukie Bay Park – Phase III. 

This agenda item follows the NCPRD Board of Directors meeting on Sept. 16, when the Board received recommendations on the IGAs from the NCPRD District Advisory Committee. The NCPRD Board committed to incorporate the District Advisory Committee’s IGA recommendations and finalize the IGAs by the end of September. The NCPRD Board has fulfilled its obligations to the District and community with this action.
