As the housing affordability issue grips the region, Clackamas County is taking proactive steps to address the issue head-on. We have an aging infrastructure within our public housing community, ever-increasing numbers of families on housing waitlists and a dwindling source of federal funds that hinder our ability to house seniors, disabled persons and working families who make 80 percent or less of the area's median income.

What does it look like when a community comes together to shape its future?

In the Sunrise Corridor, more than 1,500 community members, organizations, civic leaders, and elected officials helped create a shared vision for the area, identifying priorities like transportation safety, economic opportunity, and community livability. One of those priorities was clear: invest in youth and help prepare the next generation to take on leadership roles in the community.

We believe in the rule of law and will closely abide by the Court’s ruling today. Obviously, we are also free to disagree with its decision while simultaneously abiding by it. Oregon’s initiative system allows citizens to vote on issues that are brought before them on the ballot. We continue to believe the will of the voters should be respected.

Sept. 10, 2020 Virtual Business Meeting

The CC HB2017 TAC was formed in response to the Oregon State Legislature’s passage of House Bill 2017, which established the Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF). 

Funding for RiverHealth Stewardship Grants comes from surface water revenue.

Clackamas Water Environment Services (WES) is awarding $330,000 in grants through its RiverHealth Stewardship Program to 13 organizations dedicated to the protection of local watersheds.
