Sheriff’s Office investigating death of 12-year-old boy
On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, shortly before 8:45 a.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a juvenile that had shot themselves in the 5200 block of SE Glen Echo Avenue in unincorporated Clackamas County. When deputies arrived, they found a 12-year-old boy with a life-threatening gunshot wound in the backyard of the home. The boy, who was still breathing, was quickly transported to a local trauma hospital, where he later died on Saturday, May 17th from his injuries.
UPDATE (May 5, 2025): Body recovered near Meldrum Bar Park identified as missing kayaker

On Monday, May 5, 2025, the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity of the body recovered from the Willamette River on Sunday as 20-year-old kayaker Marcelus Angelo Rodriguez, who had been missing since April 12th after going over Willamette Falls.
Family notifications have been completed.

UPDATE (May 31, 2025): Missing teen from Oak Grove located deceased
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office was notified this week by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office that missing teenager Charlotte Fosgate has been found deceased. She was recovered from the Willamette River on May 10 by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and later identified by the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office. MCSO reported no signs of foul play.
