    The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program provides nutritious food, health screenings, breastfeeding support, community referrals, and nutrition education. WIC is for pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children ages 5 and younger. Fathers and caregivers can enroll a child they care for on WIC.     The community-led coalition will work collaboratively to prevent suicide and support people who have experienced suicide loss. Those participating will decide the priorities for action. Examples of priorities from other suicide prevention coalitions include:

    • building awareness
    • identifying strengths and gaps in services and supports
    • better understanding what puts people at risk
    • creating supports for families and communities who experience loss
    • educating policy makers and advocating for changes
    • leveraging resources by working together to combine efforts
    • empowering the community to be ambassadors for suicide prevention

    All are welcome. Every community, culture, race, or organization in our county has been affected by suicide, no one is immune from it. We invite participation from anyone who is concerned and wants to work collaboratively.

    Proposal: Proposed Conditional Use for Commercial activities in conjunction with farm use to authorize conversion of an existing farm stand site into a winery with processing, wine grape production, and tasting facilities on site.  Existing on site buildings (a 10,000 sq. ft. building and a 4,250 sq. ft. building) will house the new wine processing and tasting room uses and up to seven acres of the property will be planted and maintained with wine grapes.  Other grapes used for wine processing are proposed to be sourced from off-site locations within a 20 mile radius of the subject site.
