Call to Order, Establish Quorum (met), Approval of Minutes 

  • Teresa brought the meeting to order at 4:36pm   
  • Approval of March Minutes Teresa moved, Bo second, vote passed.

Annaliese Dolph - Presentation – Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission and serving as a Local ADPC 

  • What is Alcohol &Drug Policy Commission?
    • Charged with Improving access to evidence-based, evidence informed and culturally informed substance use prevention, substance use disorder treatment, and recovery support services by establishing state policies and holding participating agencies.
    • Five Year Plan 2026-2030 – 
      • Overarching Theme: Increase access across the continuum
      • Big Three – Reduce Prevalence of substance use disorders, reduce substance use-related deaths, reduce substance use-related disparities and inequities.
    • The Comprehensive Plan is a tool to implement a comprehensive strategy across 14 state agencies. – It is not a report.
    • High-Level Priorities: Risk Reduction, Prevention, Recovery, Treatment, Youth
  • LADPC
    • Local Planning Committees for alcohol and drug prevention and treatment
    • Shall coordinate with local resources: represented by CMHPs, outpatient SUD providers, community based orgs
    • Highest Priorities: Treatment of SUD, Youth substance use prevention and Local collaboration
    • LADPC and ADPC Collaboration Priorities: Support developing local strategic plans to address substance use disorder and Training & Technical Assistance
    • LADPCs want to hear what is happening throughout the state

Action/follow up

  • Teresa will send MHAC’s Strategic Plan to Annaliese and begin collaboration for future shared goals.
  • Request another guest speaker to speak with MHAC
