Minutes

Call to Order, Establish Quorum (met), Approval of Minutes 

  • Teresa brought the meeting to order at 4:40pm
  • Motion to approve May’s meeting minutes, motion passes.
  • Review group norms – no changes.
  • No updates to acronym list.

Teresa Melville

  • Review strategic objectives and develop timeline for next year. 
    • What are our deliverables by the end of the year? (pg 18)
    • First year priority (pg 19)
    • Coming up with an annual calendar, (discussions on politics, compiling a list of prevention resources, quarterly updates, house deflection, BHRNS, etc)
    • ATLAS, PEER services, youth services
    • Developing a data request framework
  • Determine workgroups for strategic objectives. 
    • Apply prevention and early intervention workgroups to support prevention and intervention infrastructure
    • Educate and simplify resources so that the public can be more informed on potential avenues of assistance (e.g. County sponsored one stop shop)
    • Youth-based support work groups and youth advocacy groups
    • Policy funding legislative advocacy workgroup, ADPC workgroup
    • Goals: Overall is to use early intervention and prevention services and advocacy to support the people of Clackamas County
    • Expand and adjust the living document accordingly with new data streams coming in.
    • What is the best way we can track data and store institutional knowledge for the future evolution of MHAC

Action/Follow up

  • Coordinate timetables to be more proactive on relevant upcoming programs
  • Have BHD notify MHAC on progress and goals that align with MHAC strategic objectives. BHD or other partners could provide links to data and reports for MHAC’s awareness and distribution.
  • Limitations on staffing subgroups 
  • General request – How do we get the data? 
  • MHAC Members – choose one goal to keep in mind to focus on and share how we can have answers for it in five years at the next meeting
