Part II: Hearing from C4 Members

Mr. Wilson noted the governor’s recent announcement on transportation funding. The Board of County Commissioners also approved its legislative agenda, focusing on the recovery campus and the state’s anticipated budget challenges. C4 members shared their 2026 legislative priorities in a round-robin format.

Part I: Check-In with Clackamas Legislators

C4 was joined by several legislative offices to discuss priority bills, the state’s budget challenges, and how C4 can help legislators to ensure that local services retain the funding necessary to survive. Comments were also welcomed on recent transportation issues and other topics in Salem.

Updates/Other Business

JPACT – Meeting on January 15. Recent topics include TriMet service reductions, the Community Connector Transit Study, Safe Streets dashboard, and the Sunrise Corridor. Questions were raised about the 82nd Ave Transit Project.

MPAC – Recent topics include the regional housing strategy, SHS reform, and the Metro Future Vision project. The County will host the next Future Vision committee meeting on January 15.

R1ACT – ODOT is updating their CIP process. R1ACT will discuss in February.

BUILD Grant – Clackamas County is considering a grant proposal for Sunrise. C4 may be asked for a letter of support. Staff are aware of other proposals in the region.

Metro Future Vision Commission – Next meeting will be held at the county campus on January 15. Logistics were noted.
