    • Lt. Marcus Mendoza, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office - Clackamas County Sheriff & Hamlet community member Marcus (Estacada’s contract Police Chief) shared updates:
      • Manages the traffic team; new speed signs and rotating speed trailer installed. New speed signs on Kamrath and Leland Roads.
      • Crime stats are on the Sheriff’s dashboard; crime is down countywide, Beavercreek in line.
      • Hiring/training deputies is an 18-month process.
      • Most crime is opportunistic: lock doors/gates, leave lights on, don’t leave keys invehicles, use cameras, get a big dog.
      • Marcus will send a Beavercreek-specific report to Tammy (e.g., thefts, storeissues, quads, etc.).
      • Package theft tip: collect boxes promptly, and secure them.
      • Amy raised an easement dispute—likely trespassing; Community member advised to contact Planning & Development or Recorder’s Office. Could be civil or criminal; may need a restraining order. She already has 2 lawyers on boardwho confirmed lack of easement.
      • “Help” signal: Call 911, observe, report vehicle info.
      • For road issues, call sheriff’s non-emergency line (503-655-8211); CSOs take reports.
        • Vehicle code: Must leave 18 feet of clear road space. Raised from community member concern on Yeoman road. Suggestion: engage youth groups about parking issues and see if they can use space near water tanks. Another note – Traffic improvement: drop-off/pick-up better with one-way flow. Deputies may issue citations.
          • Roundabout is in planning by Beavercreek Store - temp fixes coming first (signs,medians) to slow traffic and block pole cut-throughs.
