Not time sensitive, moved to next meeting. Currently finalizing the contract for repaving part of Sunnyside and all of 142nd. We want to look at if it’s possible to get more bike space within existing paved area of Sunnyside. 142nd has substandard bike lanes, our assignment as a committee is to determine bicycle space on 142nd and do we want to fight to widen parts of it for more bike space.
Dick: I have a lot of neighbors who would like to see this project because there’s lots of foot traffic and cars drive well above the speed limit
Scott: we’re looking and spring of 2027 construction, still needs to go through design and construction. But now is time to get more bike space out of it. And there is also a repaving project on Johnson Creek, we are putting a bike signal on Johnson Creek and 79t
