December 3, 2025 Minutes: Robert moved and Bob seconded. Mike abstained. Approved 6-0-1.
Additional Items to add: Andrew asked about the bump in the road on Oatfield Road between Jennings and Gladstone, right when you leave the Gladstone border. Christian will look into.
Citizen Concerns: Jeanette followed up on the discussion from our December meeting about the improvements to the crosswalk on Concord Road sharing kudos with the team for the changes made.
Speed Zone Investigations: Christian and Kelly, from the DTD Engineering team, presented on the process for reviewing speed zones. See attached slideshow. We had a healthy discussion about the process. There was also a discussion about concerns about varying speed limits on the same road and in one situation, varying speed limits entering and exiting roundabouts. Read more on the state statute. We also discussed having the TSC review road lists once a year for input and reflections.
Vacancies and Officer Openings: Rob shared that two TSC members, Bob Karl and Chris Larsen resigned from the TSC due to other commitments. Rob has re-opened recruitment so please pass that along to everyone you might know who would be good members and a big thank you to Bob for all his years of service to the County. We will address openings at our April meeting.
Project Updates: The Safe Systems Audit is complete, and the committee received a preview draft. At our next meeting in April, our consultant, Kendra Schenk from Burgess & Niple, will attend the TSC and present findings and recommendations for feedback into the final draft. The TSC should receive a final draft for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners in June.
Adjournment at 8:30 pm.
