Ballots mailed for May 16, 2023 Special District Election

The Clackamas County Clerk’s office has begun mailing ballots to registered voters throughout the county for the May 16, 2023 Special District Election.  

The May 16, 2023 Special District Election is a countywide election and every eligible voter will receive a ballot. This election includes contests for positions on local school boards, community colleges, education service districts, fire districts, water districts, and other special districts. There are also city offices and district levy and bond measures for voters in some jurisdictions. Where you live determines what districts, measures, and contests are on your ballot.

Voters should check for their ballot in the mail soon. You may notice that your outer ballot envelope has been updated with Clackamas County’s logo and colors. You will also see that the date of the election is now printed on the front of each envelope.  

Ballots can be mailed back with a valid postmark or returned to an official ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day, May 16, 2023. No postage is needed. Registered voters who haven’t received a ballot by May 4 should contact Clackamas County Elections for a replacement.
