Clerk McMullen Expands Access to Services with Walk-In Wednesdays

Marriage licenses and passport services now available Wednesdays without an appointment.

Oregon City, OR – Clerk Catherine McMullen and staff are opening the doors to walk-in customers on Wednesdays for marriage licenses and passport application services. 

Clerk McMullen officiates weddings at the Recording Division on Fridays.

“Demand for marriage licenses and passport application services increases each spring as people make travel plans and wedding season begins,” Clerk McMullen shared. “I’m excited to work with my Recording and Records Management division staff to offer more flexible access to local government services.”

Marriage licenses and wedding ceremonies are available at the Clackamas County Recording Division located at 1710 Red Soils Ct., Suite 110 in Oregon City.

  • Marriage licenses are available on walk-in Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They also continue to be available by appointment Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The online marriage application should be filled out ahead of time if possible.   • Wedding officiation by the Clerk is available most Fridays by appointment. Contact the Recording Division to schedule your wedding ceremony at 503-655-8551.
  • The Recording Division also offers notary services to the public Monday through Friday until 4:30 p.m. 

Passport application services, including passport photos are available at the Clackamas County Records Management Division office located at 1810 Red Soils Ct. Suite 120 in Oregon City.

  • Passport application services are available on walk-in Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. They also continue to be available by appointment Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. You can learn more about how to apply for a passport at www.clackamas.us/rm/passports.html.

Clerk McMullen and her staff welcome all Clackamas County residents to receive services.  Staff provide accommodations for residents with disabilities or residents that speak a language other than English to ensure meaningful access. The office has multilingual staff that speak English, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. If a bilingual staff person is unavailable or a different language is requested, staff work with remote video interpretation services to provide services in the language needed.
