Twenty-six Official Ballot Drop Sites are open for the May 19, 2026 Primary Election.
Oregon City, OR – Starting today, Wednesday, April 29, Clackamas County Elections begins to mail ballots to the more than 323,000 Clackamas County voters.
This is a county-wide election. Where you live and what party you are affiliated with determines what contests are on your ballot. Your ballot will have a new design. Clackamas County Elections upgraded the ballot tabulation system to improve voter experience and increase ballot processing efficiency. How you mark your ballot will not change. You can view a sample ballot on the Clackamas County Elections website with the new design. Clackamas County Elections began mailing ballots to voters April 29. If you have not received your ballot by May 7 please contact Clackamas County Elections.
Voters should look for their ballot to arrive in a brightly colored 6-by-9-inch ballot packet with the “Official Election Mail” logo on the envelope.

Track Your Ballot enables voters to receive real‑time alerts via text, phone, or email about the status of their ballot — from mailed, to received, to accepted for counting. This free service ensures transparency and confidence in every election.
If you forget to sign your ballot envelope, or your signature does not match, we will notify you through the system, in addition to the required mailed letter. Return your ballot by mail or to an Official Ballot Drop Site.
Once voted, ballots can be mailed back with a valid postmark or returned to an official ballot drop site by 8 p.m. on Election Day, May 19, 2026. No postage is needed. Because of changes to how the United States Post Office processes mail, Clerk McMullen recommends mailing your ballot back no later than Tuesday, May 12 to ensure it arrives on time. Return your ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site after that date.

Two Voter Locations to Serve You
Clackamas County Elections will open a pop-up vote center inside the Happy Valley Library starting Monday, May 4 for voters needing assistance. The Happy Valley Vote Center provides a closer choice for voters in Happy Valley, Sandy, Damascus and other north-east communities. Voters can choose the location, Oregon City or Happy Valley, that works best for them.
Each voter service location is staffed by sworn election officials. At the vote center citizens can replace a lost or damaged ballot, update voter registration information, get voting assistance if they have a disability, get voting assistance in a preferred language, return their voted ballot, or vote in person.

Ballots must be received by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, either mailed back with a valid postmark or by delivery to an official ballot drop site. If you choose to mail your ballot back we recommend getting it into the mail by May 12.
