Clerk McMullen Recommends that Voters Mail Ballots Today or Use an Official Ballot Drop Site After Oct. 27

Date

Oregon City, OR – With just seven days remaining until the November 3, 2026 General Election, Clackamas County voters still have time to vote.

To ensure timely delivery, Clerk Catherine McMullen recommends voters mail their completed ballot today. After that, voters should return their ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site.

“Oregon gives citizens several ways to return their ballots,” said Clerk Catherine McMullen. “Returning your ballot early helps election officials process it as soon as possible and supports timely results reporting.”

Mailed ballots must have a valid postmark on or before Election Day, Nov. 3, and be received within seven days after Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 10). Ballots deposited at an Official Ballot Drop Site must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters can complete their ballots from anywhere and return them either by mail or to an Official Ballot Drop Site. Clackamas County Elections has 26 Official Ballot Drop Sites available 24 hours a day until 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, 2026.

Clackamas County voters can use a new online tool that helps voters locate their nearest Official Ballot Drop Site and get driving directions in seconds. Voters can use the Clackamas County Official Ballot Drop Site Locator Tool on a phone or computer to find a nearby site and get driving directions

As of midday, Monday, Oct. 26, voter participation stood at 23.67%.

As Election Day approaches, Clerk McMullen encourages voters to keep the following in mind:
