Transportation Advisory Committee

The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) committee collaborates closely with Clackamas County Social Services Transportation Programs, placing a concerted effort on enhancing transportation services for underserved communities. In addition to this core objective, the committee will undertake tasks such as reviewing grants, budgets, work together to provide insight and recommendations that would enhance our riders experiences.

TAC meets every 3-months.

Ride Together and Vets Driving Vets Program

Need a ride? We’re here to help.

If you are age 65 and older or have a disability, the Ride Together and Vets Driving Vets programs can help you get to medical appointments, grocery stores, and other essential services—on your schedule.

These volunteer-based programs allow you to:

  • Ask a family member (who lives in a separate home), friend, or neighbor to be your driver, or
  • Veterans may be matched with fellow veteran volunteer drivers

Ride Together (RT)

Ride Together helps cover mileage costs when someone you know drives you to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other critical trips. You and your driver arrange rides directly at times that work best for you, any day of the week. Volunteer drivers are reimbursed for the miles they drive, so there is no cost to them. Your driver simply submits the completed trips to the program each month for reimbursement.

Vets Driving Vets (VDV)

Vets Driving Vets connects veteran participants with volunteer veteran drivers through our Transportation Reaching People (TRP) program, helping veterans support one another and maintain independence through reliable transportation.  Enroll in TRP today!

Whether you recruit someone you trust to become a volunteer or are matched with a fellow veteran, these programs are designed to keep you moving safely and independently.
