A Voter’s Guide to the November 3, 2026 General Election
Clackamas County Clerk and Elections conducts federal, state, and local elections for all voters living in Clackamas County. There will be a general election held on Nov. 3, 2026. It includes local measures as well as local, state, and federal candidates. Where you live determines what is on your ballot.
Not all candidates submitted an optional statement. Candidate statements and measure arguments are printed as filed; no corrections to spelling or grammar are made, and the information is not verified for accuracy.

Register to vote or update your voter registration information
Qualifications to be a voter in Oregon:
You can register to vote if you are a resident of Oregon, a citizen of the United States, and you are at least 16 years old. You will get your first ballot in the mail when you are at least 18 years old.
Register to vote: The Voter Registration Deadline is Oct. 13, 2026.
- Register to vote online at the Oregon Secretary of State website oregonvotes.gov. You can use your Oregon driver's license, identification card, or the last four digits of your Social Security Number to sign up online. The deadline to register to vote online is Oct. 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
- Register to vote by filling out a paper Oregon Voter Registration Card. You can get a paper form at the Clackamas County Elections office, your public library, Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office, or post office. Your paper form must be returned to the elections office or mailed with a postmark no later than Oct. 13. The United States Postal Service (USPS) postmark no longer reflects the actual date your mail was sent. If you are mailing your Oregon Voter Registration Card close to the Voter Registration Deadline, you should take it to the counter at a local post office and request that the postmark be applied by hand. We recommend that you mail your paper form back a week before the deadline or visit the Clackamas County Elections office in person to return your paper form.
- Register to vote in person. Clackamas County Elections is open Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. The office will also be open until 7 p.m. on the Voter Registration Deadline, Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Sign up for Track Your Ballot!
Trust that your vote counts with simple, secure mail ballot tracking. Know where your ballot is in the voting process from mailed to accepted.
As a Clackamas County voter, you can sign up to receive alerts via text, phone, or email. Know when your ballot is mailed to you. After you vote and return your ballot, be alerted when it has been accepted for counting. Your vote remains anonymous and confidential.

Getting your ballot
Clackamas County Elections mails ballots to all eligible voters beginning Wednesday, Oct. 14. If you do not receive your ballot by Oct. 22 contact Clackamas County Elections for assistance.
Voters who will be away from home on Election Day can request an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots can be mailed to your temporary address or picked up at the elections office beginning Sep. 21. Contact Clackamas County Elections to request an absentee ballot.
Two voter service locations to assist you!
Clackamas County Elections will open a pop-up vote center inside the Happy Valley Library starting Oct. 19 for voters needing assistance. The Happy Valley Vote Center provides a closer choice for voters in Happy Valley, Sandy, Damascus and other north-east communities. Voters can choose the location that works best for them.
Each voter service location is staffed by sworn election officials. At the vote center citizens can replace a lost or damaged ballot, update voter registration information, get voting assistance if they have a disability, get voting assistance in a preferred language, return their voted ballot, or vote in person.

Voting Instructions
- Vote your Official Ballot. Locate the oval next to your choice for each candidate or measure contest. To vote, completely darken the oval to the left of your choice with black or blue ink. To vote for a candidate not listed, completely fill in the oval next to the line provided and write-in the full name of the candidate.
Remember: If you vote for more than the number of candidates allowed for an office or vote for both Yes and No on a measure, it is called an overvote and your vote for the candidate or measure will not be counted. You are not required to vote on every candidate and measure contest. Your ballot will still be counted as cast and your votes for other contests will be counted.
Did you make a mistake? Don’t destroy your ballot yet. You can correct the mistake yourself. Make your choice obvious so that your intent is understood and your vote is counted correctly. If you are unable to correct your ballot, you may request a replacement ballot from Clackamas County Elections. For example, you may write, “This one” next to your intended choice and circle the candidate’s name, or if a measure, Yes or No.
- Review your Official Ballot. Ensure you have correctly marked your choice for each contest. Your official ballot may contain contests on both front and back of the page. Remember to view both sides!
If you lose your ballot, or it is spoiled in any way, contact Clackamas County Elections to request a replacement ballot.
- Sign and Return your Official Ballot. Place your voted ballot in the envelope and sign the Voter’s Statement. Your ballot cannot be counted if the envelope is not signed.
If you forget to sign or your signature does not match the ballot will be challenged. You will be notified with a mailed letter (and Track Your Ballot if signed up), so that you can take action to ensure that your vote can be counted. The deadline for a voter to take action on their challenged ballot is 5 p.m., 21 days after Election Day.
Voters who have a disability and are unable to sign their ballot return envelope can contact Clackamas County Elections to request a Signature Stamp Attestation Form. This form allows voters to use a signature stamp or other mark as a signature on their voter registration record. No one can sign a return envelope on behalf of a voter, including a Power of Attorney or Guardian.

Two ways to return your voted ballot – Official Ballot Drop Site or by mail
We recommend returning your voted ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site as soon as you are done voting. 24-Hour Official Ballot Drop Sites are located throughout the county. You may deposit your ballot at any Official Ballot Drop Site in the state until 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, 2026. Find your nearest Official Ballot Drop Site below or at clackamas.us/elections.
If you choose to return your ballot by mail, make sure to mail your voted ballot back no later than a week before Election Day. A mailed ballot must have a valid postmark indicating that it was mailed on or before Election Day, Nov. 3, 2026 and must be received by the elections office within seven days of election day.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) postmark no longer reflects the actual date your mail was sent. November 3, 2026 General Election Countdown
- Oct. 13 – Voter Registration Deadline. Clackamas County Elections Oregon City office open until 7 p.m. to serve voters.
- Oct. 14 – Clackamas County Elections mails ballots to voters.
- Oct. 19 – Happy Valley Vote Center opens in the Happy Valley Library.
- Oct. 22 – All eligible voters should have received their ballots. Contact Clackamas County Elections if you have not received your ballot.
- Oct. 31 – Clackamas County Elections Oregon City office and Happy Valley Vote Center is open Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Nov. 3 – Election Day! Clackamas County Elections Oregon City office and Happy Valley Vote Center are open 7 a.m. – 8 pm. Unofficial Elections Results will be posted online at clackamas.us/elections starting at 8 p.m.
- Nov. 30 – County Clerk will certify election to Oregon Secretary of State.
