November 3, 2026 General Election

Resources and Information

There is a general election on November 3, 2026. It includes local and state measures as well as local, state, and federal candidates. Where you live determines what is on your ballot.

The Voter Registration Deadline is October 13. You can register to vote or update your voter registration at oregonvotes.gov or fill out a paper Oregon Voter Registration Card.

Clackamas County Elections will mail ballots to voters starting October 14. If you do not receive a ballot by by October 22, please contact Clackamas County Elections.

Please note: There are some positions that will appear on the November 3, 2026 General Election ballot for which the Secretary of State is the filing officer. The list of candidates seeking state and federal offices may be accessed on the Secretary of State's website here. The city recorder is the filing officer for city positions. The list of candidates seeking city offices may be accessed by contacting the city recorder.
 

Important Dates

Candidates/Districts

August 14 - Deadline to file ballot title for publication of notice or referral text for drafting a ballot title with city, county, or district elections official.

August 15 - Deadline for elected incumbents to file Declaration of Candidacy and required filing fee or verified nominating petition signatures.

August 25 - Deadline for non-elected incumbents to file Declaration of candidacy and required filing fee or verified nominating petition signatures.

August 25 - Deadline for county, city, and special district candidates to submit candidate statement for inclusion in the county voters' pamphlet. Must be received by 5:00 p.m.

September 3 - Deadline to file Notice of Measure Election with Clackamas County Elections.

September 8 - Deadline to submit measure argument for inclusion in the county voters' pamphlet. Must be received by 5:00 p.m.

 

Voters

September 8 - Deadline to submit measure argument for inclusion in the county voters' pamphlet. Must be received by 5:00 p.m.

September 21 - First day the county clerk may provide, in person or by mail, an absentee ballot. To request an absentee ballot, submit a signed SEL 111 Oregon Absentee Ballot Request Form to receive an absentee ballot.

October 13 - Voter Registration Deadline. Clackamas County Elections office will be open until 7:00 p.m. to serve voters.

October 14 - Clackamas County Elections mails ballots to voters. Official Ballot Drop Sites are opened.

October 22 - If you have not received your ballot by mail, please contact Clackamas County Elections.

November 3 - The Clackamas County Elections Office is open 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Ballots must be mailed back with a valid postmark on or before Election Day or returned to an Official Ballot Drop Site before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
