Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Park Maintenance Assistant
Help maintain county parks alongside Park Rangers and earn great perks:
- 50 volunteer hours: Free one-year parking pass
- 100 volunteer hours: Two free nights of camping*
Tasks may include:
- Litter pickup
- Invasive species removal
- Basic groundskeeping
- Trail maintenance
- Mowing and weed eating
We match tasks to your skills, interests, and availability. Volunteers receive gear and free parking while volunteering.

Volunteer Park Host
Applications accepted year-round for Barton, Feyrer, Hebb, and Metzler Parks.
Duties Include:
- Greet and assist campers
- Answer phones
- Collect fees
- Sell firewood and ice
- Help care for the park
Benefits include:
- Full RV hookup site
- Use of laundry facilities
Hosts typically live on-site 1–3 months, May–September. Some stay on during winter for maintenance projects.
