Political Signs
The size and placement of political signs are not regulated by election law. The jurisdiction where you place your sign(s) determines who a candidate should contact to inquire about sign regulations, which may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Political Parties and Other Election Resources
US Election Assistance Commission (EAC)
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) was established by the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA). EAC is an independent, bipartisan commission charged with developing guidance to meet HAVA requirements, adopting voluntary voting system guidelines, and serving as a national clearinghouse of information on election administration. EAC also accredits testing laboratories and certifies voting systems, as well as audits the use of HAVA funds.
Other responsibilities include maintaining the national mail voter registration form developed in accordance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.
Secretary of State's Office (Elections Division)
In administering Oregon's elections, the Secretary of State's Office, Elections Division provides the public, local election officials, candidates, chief petitioners and the press with advice and assistance in conducting elections, filing initiatives and declaring candidacy. The Division is the filing officer for state candidates and initiative, referendum and recall petitions. Election law violations are investigated and penalties administered by the Division.

Voting in Oregon
In 1998 Oregon voters overwhelmingly passed a ballot measure directing elections to be conducted by mail, commonly referred to as Vote By Mail. This method of voting replaces traditional polling place elections.
