PHEP Projects

Cities Readiness Initiative

Clackamas County Office of Public Health Emergency Services participates in the Regional CRI (Cities Readiness Initiative) with Clark, Columbia, Multnomah, Skamania, Washington and Yamhill counties. The CRI program plans for the capability to provide emergency doses of medication to local populations within 48 hours of the decision to do so.

Regional Special Pathogens Plan

Clackamas County Office of Public Health Emergency Services worked closely with regional partners such as hospital systems and Emergency Medical Services to develop a Regional Special Pathogens Public Health Coordination Plan for the Greater Portland Metro Region for viral hemorrhagic fever (e.g. Ebola, Marburg).

Regional Climate Hazards Assessment

Clackamas County Office of Public Health Emergency Services worked closely with regional partners such as environmental health programs, coordinated care organizations, health care providers, and disaster management to develop a Regional Public Health and Climate Hazards Assessment. The assessment details actions that can be taken for protecting public health in the face of climate hazards.

Community Emergency Preparedness

Our Public Health Emergency Services team is working with state and local partners to adapt and develop preparedness programs accessible to all community members and designed with a public health lens.
