Business Meetings

The Business Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is where the Commissioners take official action by voting on various items. Major budgetary decisions, changes to the County Code, sending a countywide measure to the ballot, and other major decisions are made in these meetings.

Business Meetings feature a "Public Communication" section when residents may bring up any issue relevant to the county for up to three minutes. Generally, meetings are held at 10 a.m. on Thursday mornings. Most of these dates are the second Thursday of each month.

The Commissioners encourage the public to participate virtually or in person. You are welcome to participate by attending in-person or via Zoom. E-mail submissions for the Public Communication will be accepted as part of the public record. Register online for Public Communication via Zoom or if you are coming in person there will be a blue card at the door to fill out.

The public is welcome to provide comment to the board at any Business Meeting. Learn about Presenting Effective Testimony at Board meetings.
