The Kellogg Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility Celebrates 50 Years of Service!
Clackamas Water Environment Services (WES) is pleased to announce the 50th Anniversary of the Kellogg Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF). The celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 8, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the facility located at 11525 SE McLoughlin Blvd, Milwaukie, OR 97222. We invite the community to join us for a light lunch, dessert, and an opportunity to learn about the significance of clean water for our community.
Launched in 1974, the Kellogg Creek WRRF serves WES customers in Happy Valley, Johnson City, Milwaukie, and unincorporated areas of Clackamas County. Every day, the facility cleans nearly 7 million gallons of wastewater before releasing it into the Willamette River.
The Kellogg Creek WRRF follows the Water Environment Federation's preferred industry naming convention of "Water Resource Recovery Facility." The name reflects our mission to provide wastewater resource recovery, including recovering energy, biosolids, clean water, and other resources from treated wastewater, thus enabling us to live, work, and play in a healthy environment.
In recognition of its excellence in plant operations and permit compliance, the Kellogg Creek facility received the Peak Performance Silver Standard Award from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Come celebrate with us!
