Cleanup, invasive species removal, and trail maintenance at Hearthwood Wetland

Join the fun for a day of cleanup, invasive species removal, and trail maintenance at Hearthwood Wetland in Clackamas County. This dense hardwood wetland is at the headwaters of Kellogg Creek and provides crucial buffering between I-205 and the community of Johnson Lake. Help bolster the soil and promote water filtration by opening up small areas of crowded canopy, removing nonnative species and trash from the edge space. Hearthwood is home to small woodland mammals, songbirds and raptor birds, amphibians, fish and more. Equipment and some light snacks are provided. Work boots or knee boots recommended.
