Sanitary Sewer Overflow Near Clackamette Park

Clackamas Water Environment Services (WES) personnel responded to a notice about a sanitary sewer overflow near Clackamette Park this afternoon.

The Clackamas River is likely affected by this spill. As a precaution, the public is advised to avoid contact with the Clackamas River near Clackamette Park for 48 hours due to the possibility of bacterial contamination. Cleanup has been completed for the area immediately surrounding the spill.

WES personnel placed signs informing area residents about the spill in the vicinity of the incident. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has been notified.
