Wastewater overflow into the Willamette River

Heavy rains led to an overflow into the Willamette River from the Kellogg Water Resource Recovery Facility beginning at 7:00 a.m. this morning. The public is advised to avoid contact with the Willamette River between the Milwaukie Bay Park and the Sellwood Bridge.

WES will continue to test the river water quality for impacts of the overflow.
