The Clackamas County Replacement Courthouse project is set to reach a significant milestone this weekend with the installation of a tower crane.

The installation of the tower crane, which is set to take place from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on April 1 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 2 weather permitting, is an essential part of the project's progress. Once installed, the tower crane will stand at 192 feet tall and will service the construction activities over the duration of the project.

The arrival of the crane will cause some traffic congestion near the Red Soils Campus in Oregon City, and county officials are committed to ensuring the safety of the public during the installation process.

Members of the public should be aware of construction vehicles while driving near the project site in Oregon City because the tower crane will arrive in 10 consecutively scheduled truckloads, all of which will approach the project site northbound on Beavercreek Road, turn left onto Kaen Road and proceed to the southwest corner gate to enter the project site. Once the trucks offload the tower crane parts, they will exit the site via the northwest corner gate. The trucks then will travel eastbound on Courthouse Road before they turn left on Beavercreek Road to exit the neighborhood, as per regular traffic patterns.
