Summer is more than a break, it's an opportunity.

At LINCC Libraries, we believe learning should be lifelong and accessible to everyone, all year long. This summer, with a fresh new look and even more ways to get involved, LINCC is here to help adults keep learning and help kids stay on track.

Whether you're eight or eighty, your library card is a key to new experiences, free resources, and the chance to grow.

For Parents: Keep Kids Engaged and Learning

Every LINCC library in Clackamas County participates in the Summer Reading Program, designed to help children and teens maintain and grow their reading skills over the summer. Throughout the summer, readers of all ages can track their reading and earn great prizes. Kids who complete their reading logs will receive tickets to local favorites like OMSI, Oaks Park, and the Oregon State Fair—and be entered to win bookstore gift cards.

Libraries also offer free summer activities, including story times, performances, book bike visits, and more, so learning never feels like a chore.

For Adults: Learn Something New

Lifelong learning is at the heart of what we do. This summer, explore adult reading challenges at your library, take a craft class, or borrow from our Library of Things collection that includes sewing machines, karaoke kits, tools, and tech.

Want to start a garden? Many LINCC libraries offer free seeds through our Seed Libraries, and some host gardening classes in the summer. An updated seed library will also launch at the new Oak Lodge Library when it opens later this year.

New Spaces, New Access

LINCC's brand refresh is more than a visual update; it's a reflection of the evolving role of public libraries. We're expanding access through mobile libraries and book lockers. We're investing in community meeting spaces, study rooms, and modern tools that help residents learn and connect.

The Oak Lodge Library will close this August as we prepare for the grand opening of a modern new facility that better reflects our shared future—one rooted in access, opportunity, and lifelong learning.

Explore More, Anytime

With your LINCC library card, you have access to:

  • eBooks, audiobooks, movies, and magazines available 24/7.
  • Free passes to local museums and attractions with the Cultural Pass Express
