Clackamas County Citizens Have Options When It Comes to Voting
Celebrate Vote Early Day by making a plan to vote!
Oregon City, OR – Citizens in Clackamas County have options when it comes to casting and returning their ballots for the November 5, 2024 General Election. Citizens can vote from anywhere and then return their ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site or by mail, postmarked on or before 8 p.m. Election Day, Nov. 5.

The applicant proposed a Non-Conforming Use verification for a detached garage built in 1962, that does not comply with the 10-foot side setback standard in the RRFF-5 zone, stated in Table 316-2 of the ZDO. This encroaches into SE side setback area. The application also requested retroactive approval for an alteration of a non-conforming use for the attic addition on top of the garage, added in 2019. The modification for the attic addition was approved by County staff, with conditions that the applicant retroactively apply for and receive Building Permits for the 2019 attic addition. -

The applicant seeks to be authorized to operate an event venue for up to 24 events per year, up to 150 people per event. The primary activities of all hosted events, including receptions, dining, music, dancing, and gathering, will take place in an existing barn that was built in the 1920s. A portion of the existing dwelling will also be used to support the event use for activities including wedding party getting ready areas, photography areas, and quiet family moments before or after the wedding ceremony. A grass and gravel parking area is proposed to include parking spaces for up to 55 vehicles.

The applicant requested a verification of a nonconforming use for an existing overhead power line along Stafford Rd; the existing line is a distribution line in part and a transmission line in part. The applicant further proposed an alteration of the nonconforming use to replace existing power poles and lines along a 7.4-mile-long corridor. The altered public utility facility will include transmission, distribution and communication lines and added transmission capacity. Pole heights will increase. -
