Oregon Project Independence

Oregon Project Independence (OPI) is a statewide program that works with people who are either over 60 or have dementia. Our purpose is to help people live at home safely and as independently as possible.

How can OPI help?

In Clackamas County, OPI offers help with:

  • Personal Care: dressing, bathing, grooming, etc.
  • Housekeeping
  • Respite Care: giving your caregiver a break
  • Shopping
  • Transportation

What do OPI services cost?

The amount you pay depends on the amount of income you have and your medical costs.

Can OPI help me?

OPI may be able to help you if:

  • You live in Oregon
  • You need some help with daily activities
  • You do not have Medicaid* 
    and
  • You are either at least 60 years old or you are younger than 60 and have Alzheimer's disease
