The Voter Registration and Party Choice Deadline is April 30, 2024 for the May 21, 2024 Primary Election.
Clackamas County Elections will be open extended hours, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. to assist voters. We are located at 1710 Red Soils Ct. Oregon City, OR 97045.
To vote in Oregon, you must be registered in your county of residence.
To register you must be:
- a citizen of the United States,
- a resident of Oregon, and
- at least 16 years of age*
* You will not receive a ballot to vote until the election on/after your 18th birthday. You must be registered by the voter registration deadline on April 30, 2024 in order to be eligible.
Register:
- online at oregonvotes.gov or
- return a Oregon Voter Registration Card to Clackamas County Elections. Registration cards are available at oregonvotes.gov, your county elections office, post offices, libraries, and DMV locations.
Oregon has closed party primary elections in the May 21, 2024 Primary Election. To vote in a major political party’s (Democratic or Republican) primary nominating election, you must be registered with that political party 21 days before Election Day. The Party Choice Deadline is April 30, 2024 for the May 21, 2024 Primary Election.
In the May 21, 2024 Primary Election, major party partisan offices listed on the party primary ballot (Democratic or Republican) include; U.S. President, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative of Congress, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, State Senator and State Representative. Only voters registered with a major political party (Democratic or Republican) will receive a ballot with partisan offices.
Voters registered with a minor party or non-affiliated will receive a ballot with only non-affiliated candidates and measures in the May 21, 2024 Primary.
