    Proposal: **REVISED 6/27**   King of Kings Lutheran Church, in coordination with the Metropolitan Alliance for the Common Good and Providence Better Outcomes through Bridges, proposes to host up to three occupied vehicles at a time for overnight parking/sleeping in the church parking lot. The program is intended to provide safe overnight shelter alternatives for houseless individuals and families. The church will provide a porta-potty and hand washing station as well as a trash receptacle, upkeep and maintenance of which will be the responsibility of the church. Vehicles will be permitted on site from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. No guests of participants will be allowed on site at any time. Nightly security patrols will help ensure that vehicles on the property are only those approved through the program.  Personal items will be required to be stored in vehicles and no onsite storage will be available. Potential participants will be identified and vetted through the Clackamas County Coordinated Housing Access and must pass a background check and agree to adhere to a code of conduct. Providence will provide additional mediation services and provide services to residents.

    Proposal: Photovoltaic solar power generation facility (passive solar, panels) on 7 acres of a 135-acre parcel. The facility will consist of photovoltaic modules supported by stationary piles driven six to ten feet into the ground. Each row of panels will be strung together in an east-west orientation and the panels will face south with a tilt of approximately 25 degrees (or tracking). The facility will be unoccupied with only occasional site visits my maintenance personnel. Subject tract is approximately 135 acres in size, located in the southwest quadrant of intersection of S.     This intensive 2-day course (minimum 16 hours) is the starting point for realistic self-defense preparedness. If you keep or carry a handgun for defensive purposes, you need this training. You will learn the professional attitudes and personal habits needed to keep you safe - as well as gain a unique understanding of some of the legal and personal responsibilities you assume as a gun owner. You will learn to safely and efficiently draw from concealment, re-holster, reload and clear your malfunctions. You will increase accuracy and speed through coached and supervised systematic, repetitive drills. You will develop your ability to safely operate your handgun with control, precision and speed.

    This one-day class is the starting point for the Public Safety Training Center's handgun-skills curriculum. It requires no prior handgun knowledge or experience. Understanding the principles of basic firearms safety is emphasized throughout PST 101 in a classroom lecture and on the range. The fundamentals of marksmanship are a focus of the class, in both dry- and live-fire exercises. A legal guardian has to take the class with minors age fifteen - eighteen.

    Classes are scheduled each month on selected Saturdays or Sundays, beginning at 9 a.m. Though completion of this class satisfies the statute requirements for application for an Oregon concealed handgun license, it is strongly recommended that the student seek additional training in Oregon's Use of Force laws, presented in the PST 100 class.

    Participants will gain practical knowledge to plan appropriately, avoid common mistakes, use current & primitive technology, and gain foundational skills to survive being lost or stranded in Oregon wilderness.

    This section is taught by Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputies who work on our Search & Rescue Team in the wilderness of Western Oregon- most notably the Mount Hood National Forest. With years of training experience and firsthand knowledge of countless survival scenarios, these survival experts will teach you essential preparedness concepts and key survival skills for the wilderness of the Northwest. Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, hikers, and campers alike who frequent the back county of Clackamas County. Class covers a range of subject matter including: planning/preparation/survival essentials, navigation/gps, shelter building, fire building, wilderness first aid concepts, natural survival aids of the PNW. Classroom based instruction with hands on demonstration and activities.

    This four hour course covers firearms safety and defensive use of the handgun. Students will meet the Oregon, Utah, or Utah-Oregon requirements depending on which option is chosen. (The Utah permit allows one to carry in approximately thirty other states including Washington) It will give you a better understanding of the handgun, its safe handling and the law as it applies to its carriage and use in defending yourself.
