- Bill Merchant, Vice-Chair
- Region 1 Area Commission on Transportation (R1ACT) - Nothing to Report currently.
- Community Planning Organization (CPO) Summit – Met Oct 27th, nothing to note.
- Clackamas County Committee for Community Involvement (CCI)
- November 18th zoom meeting at 6:00PM - to discuss livability and how to get into Zoning and Development ordinances. Inviting all CPO’s to listen in.
- CPO Handbook - new one is on the Clackamas website. It led to a robust conversation about ADA compliance, our website, and the county migration by April 26th. Gina was in a county meeting today with Mark McBride so I was able to have a discussion with them about the move and what it means to us.
- Cheryl Buchert, Treasurer
- Treasurer’s Report -Nothing to report. Mark asked if the bill for the PO box was going to be handled. Yes, says Cheryl.
- Boosters Welcome Committee Report -
- Looking to get the website and facebook updated to drum up interest in upcoming events.
- Discussed Venmo, Zelle, Squares or other to make acceptance of payments easier. Also resolving how to know which committee it goes through.
- Cheryl will share with Tammy and Gina the business listings. Discussed when we’ll list businesses on our website. Examples: AI to crawl for websites, making phone calls to them. Potentially going with the Services that are most frequently needed/wanted, web blast to others, and step into adding businesses over time.
- Gina McMurry, Secretary & Corresponding Secretary
- Approval of minutes, October Board & Community Meetings. Accepted by acclimation.
- Website Update Review
- Emergency - Mark please take a look and send out recommendations from our website or other examples for our website. Add burn line, burn season etc.
- Discussed change of Religious Organizations on the website to “Local Faith & Spiritual Communities”
- Mark Hillyard, Director at Large
- Clackamas County Coordinating Committee (C4) - Hamlet Representation - Discussed how they are growing, and went back to the 70’s forward through 2050, discussed some of the things grandfathered in. Opinion is that they have progressed in a well contained, but progressive manner. Discussion on UGB, and how they are partnering with Oregon City, Canby, County and State - not a clear response yet. Canby & South Canby CPO’s not active (Central Point representing?). The county is looking to get CPO’s active with their residents.
- Park Committee - Holiday Tree Lighting – December 6th – How can we help? Flyers out, Discussed Stocking Wish Lists. TLC will be helping with the Star on top of the tree, and the electrical short. 5:00 at the grange - potluck, music, some kind of surprise, snowman? 6:30 parade. Tree lighting at 7:00. “Giving Tree” at Beavercreek Saloon - to help kids at the schools. Tammy asked if there are any jobs that can be delegated?
- Tammy to get Gina ALL the flyers - grange, saloon, korner park, etc…
- Stafford Community Meeting - Mark sat in. They had an open house with the County, basically just more interaction with transportation. He wants to know whether we could get more information throughout planning. Mark thinks there can be an impact to us that is great for all park activities if they take away half the parking and store equipment at BCT parking, open air markets affected? Looking for more communication and will draft a letter for the same.
- Kenny Sernach, Director at Large
- Clackamas County Coordinating Committee (C4) - CPO Representation & Executive Committee - Lots of representation for a good sharing of knowledge. It was Canby City Staff discussing local transit, housing development, and business development. C4 in March are going to Molalla to continue their engagement.
- Joe Matteo, Director at Large
- Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District Board Member Report - Meeting scheduled for next week.
- The Barn - November Guest Speakers: Lisa Kilders & Chris Lapp - coming up at the meeting next week.
- Joe shared that a homeowner in Sandy is trying to set up an events center, on forestry land with an agriculture building, which current understanding is it cannot be used for other reasons. So CSWCD sent out a letter to the planning commission with a recommendation to disapprove.
- Miscellaneous Topics
- BCC Monthly Hamlet Report – Volunteers of the Month - Mark Hilyard & Gina McMurry
- 2026 Officers - Elections held last month, and so now we elect officers. Bill made the motion that all officers remain in current roles. Joe seconded, unanimous approval by the board.
- Strategic Planning Meeting – December 10 at 5:00. Succession planning will be heavily discussed at this meeting.
- Carus Schoolhouse Support Letter. They are going after grants, so would like the Hamlet to write a letter in support. Bill seconded, as it will be a facility in the hamlet.
- State of the County, November 5th - Tammy and Gina attended the event. Elected people, county staff, veterans, service providers in attendance. Tammy's feedback was to open it wide up, have it in a larger location, scale back the food, so more can hear/give feedback. Complete Communities? Will be further discussed with Bill, Rick, Tammy, Gary, Paul, Martha. 40 CPO’s and only 19 active – get activated with CCI and PGA as examples. So CC 2.0 – is something that could be good.
- Tammy is representing the planning Commission on the CC Transportation System Plan. Very Very diverse 18 people - 2 from every area. Big piece of news: Beavercreek Road right out to the City Boundary before Henrici is part of Oregon City ($1M paid by the County). 4 more meetings, and then will present the plan to BCC. Counties and Cities have to go through this as well.
- Beavercreek Telephone has an opening for District 4, Tammy is getting interviewed for that spot. There is also an opening in District 1 (Kenny’s area).
- November 19, 2025, Community Meeting, Beavercreek Grange #276
