Join us for this free, 6-week class series on Mondays and Wednesdays (twice per week) from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Rent Well is a tenant education class that helps renters understand their legal rights and responsibilities, connect to housing resources, and overcome barriers such as poor credit, evictions, or criminal history.
Class topics include:
- Understanding landlord expectations
- Housing laws and tenant rights
- Budgeting basics
- Affordable housing options
- Property maintenance
- Rental rules and agreements
- Professional communication
We also focus on tools you can use to get approved for housing even if your background includes things like:
- Poor or no credit
- Short or no rental history
- Criminal history
- Low income
- Unstable employment
- Money owed to a past landlord

Who can take this class?
Individuals in Clackamas County or nearby areas who are unhoused or unstably housed and who have low to moderate income.
We give registration priority to Clackamas County residents, but residents of nearby areas can ask to be placed on our waiting list in case we have extra room. Residents of other counties in Oregon and SW Washington can visit the Rent Well website or contact 2-1-1 to check for available classes in their area.

What if I don’t speak English?
We can provide interpretation services if needed. The Rent Well e-course is currently available in English only but is expected to be available in 7 different languages in the near future.
