Courthouse work hours adjusted for summer 2023

As of July 6, 2023, courthouse construction work hours will begin at 5 a.m. every Thursday and Friday through Sept. 30, 2023 to provide safer working conditions for workers during concrete pours in extreme hot weather conditions.

On July 5, 2023, the Oregon City Commission granted an exception to the city’s Work Hour Policy to allow for the earlier courthouse construction work start times.

The county and courthouse construction project manager appreciate the importance of maintaining peace and tranquility within the community surrounding the construction site and are committed to minimizing disturbances.

Project managers will adhere to the highest standards of noise control and will make every attempt to keep noise levels low during the early morning hours.
