Oregon City, Ore. – Local artists have an opportunity to see their skills displayed at a new county building.

The Clackamas County Arts Alliance and Clackamas County Courthouse Arts Committee invite artists living in Oregon -- and Clackamas County specifically -- to submit a proposal for site-specific interior printed mural or photography artwork to be displayed on the first and second floors of the Clackamas County Courthouse, which is set to open in 2025.

The art will be mounted on acoustic panels in the courthouse.

“We are very excited for this opportunity to showcase large-scale works of art by local artists visible to the public from the plaza level of the new courthouse—anyone walking by or walking into the courthouse will see and be impacted by these upcoming art installations,” said Clackamas County Operating Officer Nancy Bush.

One artist/artist team will be selected to submit final artwork for the acoustic sound panels on the first and second floors of the new building. The budget available for the commission comes from funds raised for this project and is $5,000. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. May 1.
