Sheriff's Office arrests Sept. 16 manslaughter suspect

After further investigation and forensic analysis of evidence by the Oregon State Crime Lab, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives have determined that the driver of the suspect vehicle involved in the Sept. 16 manslaughter case was Aunajae Devine Smith, 22, of Portland.

UPDATE (Thursday, Sept. 30): BURGLARY SUSPECT IDed; REFERRED TO DA FOR POSSIBLE CHARGES
Thanks to tips from the public and the help of The Dalles Police Department, the Sheriff's Office has identified the suspect in the Aug. 26 Rhododendron burglary and referred the case to the DA.
The person seen leaving the scene in the Silverado can now be identified as Carl Eugene Ackley, 51, of The Dalles.
