WES currently offers the following customer assistance programs that may be able to help with paying your bill.
Low Income Household Water Assistance (LIHWA) Program
The Low-Income Household Water Assistance (LIHWA) program is a new financial assistance program funded by the Federal government. It is currently only a one-time program but could continue into the future.
LIHWA allows Clackamas County to directly pay Clackamas Water Environment Services (WES) sewer and surface water bills for eligible households. This support can be used for:
- Current Charges
- Past Due Amounts
The 2022 qualifying maximum adjusted gross annual income by household size can be found in the table below. Household income is calculated as it would be on your federal tax return.
|Household Unit Size||Annual Gross Income*||Monthly Gross Income*|
|Each additional member||$1,803.00||$150.25|
|* Gross income means all household income before any deductions|
To be considered for the program, households must contact us at WESCustomerService@clackamas.us to obtain an information consent form for a referral to Clackamas County Social Services. Clackamas County Social Services will contact customer to determine eligibility for the program and begin the application process.
