HRA/VEBA Funding Methods

Fees/Costs

The county shall pay the account fee up to $1.50 per account per month for each active employee enrolled in the Standard HRA/VEBA plan.

The county shall pay the account fee up to $1.25 per account per month for each active employee enrolled in the Post-separation HRA/VEBA plan.

The participating employee shall be responsible for the third party annualized investment fee.

AFSCME-CCOM

  • Participating employees shall have all vacation hours over the annual cap paid into their HRA/VEBA accounts at retirement.
  • Participating employees who are enrolled in the HRA/VEBA plan as of December 31 of each year shall receive an annual contribution of $50 paid into their HRA/VEBA account by the second payroll period of January each year.
  • Eligible to all active employee group members

AFSCME-DTD

  • Participating employees shall have all vacation hours over the annual cap paid into their HRA/VEBA accounts at retirement.
  • Participating employees who have used at least forty (40) hours of vacation in the prior twelve (12) months shall have all vacation time up to eighty (80) hours in excess of the annual cap paid into their HRA/VEBA account.
  • Participating employees who are enrolled in the HRA/VEBA plan as of December 31 of each year shall receive an annual contribution of $50 paid into their HRA/VEBA account by the second payroll period of January each year.
  • Eligible to all active employee group members

  • Participating employees shall have all vacation hours over the annual cap paid into their HRA/VEBA accounts at retirement.

  • Employees shall receive an annual contribution of $50 paid into their HRA/VEBA account by the second pay period of January each year. Eligibility for the HRA/VEBA contribution is limited to those employees who enroll as of December 31 each year. Employees who do not enroll shall not be eligible to receive contributions to their HRA/VEBA account or cash remuneration in lieu of such contributions.
  • Eligible to all active employee group members

FOPPO

Participating employees who have used at least forty (40) hours of vacation in the prior calendar year shall have all vacation time up to eighty (80) hours in excess of the annual cap paid into their HRA/VEBA account.

Nonrepresented

  • Participating employees who have used at least forty (40) hours of vacation in the prior twelve (12) months shall have all vacation time up to eighty (80) hours in excess of the annual cap paid into their HRA/VEBA account.
  • Employees shall receive an annual contribution of $50 paid into their HRA/VEBA account by the second pay period of January each year. Eligibility for the HRA/VEBA contribution is limited to those employees who enroll as of December 31 each year. Employees who do not enroll shall not be eligible to receive contributions to their HRA/VEBA account or cash remuneration in lieu of such contributions.
  • Eligible to all active employee group members

Peace Officers Association

  • Participating employees who have used at least forty (40) hours of vacation in the prior twelve (12) months shall have all vacation time up to eighty (80) hours in excess of the annual cap paid into their HRA/VEBA account.
  • Eligible to all active employee group members
  • Employees who provide proof of other medical coverage and who opt out of coverage provided by the County will receive a monthly stipend as provided by the yearly Benefits Summary, paid to the employee’s HRA/VEBA

Housing Authority (EA)

  • Participating employees shall have all vacation hours over the annual cap paid to their HRA/VEBA account at retirement.
  • Participating employees who have used at least forty (40) hours of vacation in the prior twelve (12) months shall have all vacation time up to eighty (80) hours in excess of the annual cap paid into their HRA/VEBA account.
  • Participating employees who are enrolled in the HRA VEBA plan as of December 31 of each year shall receive an annual contribution of $50 paid into their HRA VEBA account by the second payroll period of January each year.
  • Eligible to all active employee group members.
